Happy new years!

So I'm on my phone so i have no idea how this is going to look. But here's trying anyways lol
So its new years,  a fresh start , a new beginning, or for me hopefully a continuation of the great times of 2011, yea there was some pretty crappy times, but we need those times to appreciate the good times even more.

To sum up 2011 I Was blessed with the good news of welcoming a fourth child into our lifes after a miscarriage, tried selling partylite to finding out of isn't for me(a hermit).
Were now in our 3rd vehicle of the year, hopefully this one will last us to a long time.  We hit financial hard times which lead to the desicion of the bunny to apply to college and get accepted and quiting his job.
Christian starting school and finally getting the wheel chair and walker we've been working on getting him or ages!

There was some tough times and trying times where we were faced with bad health with family members. But that had worked out for the best as it always does.

2012 will have challenges and we are already planning on how to conquer some of them.
I'm planning on applying to college, getting a slr camera and hopefully starting my own photography business.
Presley will be starting school in September.

And my rambling on comes from drinking a bottle of wine...i may as well have one new years where i can drink, have i said how much i love my friends who offer to take care of my babies for the night! Griffin awesome.
Anyways i attached a couple pictures of our quiet night at home with 2 bottles of wine that are now empty and a feeling of joy and happiness for the comming year, I'm excited for what lays ahead.
Love you all an thank you for taking the time to read my random thoughts and ramblings this year!

Randomness

Hopefully the pictures will load, my internet has been really slow today.  I've tried 3 times and still hasn't but who knows, maybe when I'm done writing this the pictures will load up :)

New years is tomorrow and we're having a couple friends over with some appetizers and going to make our Christmas turkey we forgot to defrost.  Steve cooks an awesome turkey. I am not allowed touching the stove after today.
that would be why

The past couple days we've just been hanging out and I've been heading to the gym with my sister in the morning, so in usual Autumn fashion, I end up waking up everyone in the house a little bit to early while I'm getting ready.   It's one of the down sides of not being a morning person so by the afternoon everyone seems to be ready for a nap, except Christian, it seems like he never sleeps.

for the gym I have a 3 visit pass to see if I like it and I just have to wait until the end of the month when we have the extra money to get my self a membership (I'm sold, it takes care of my getting out of the house and my need for exercise)  So since I still have 2 more weeks to go until then, I picked up a couple new workout DVD's to keep me going.  I picked up Brazilian butt lift, Insanity, Carmen Electra's Aerobic Strip Tease, and the P90X I already had.

I'm not going to follow any of the programs that they give you but make my own by combining all the ones I like out of the 4.   So far I love the ab ripper in P90X and the cardio in Brazilian Butt lift.  I took the before pictures but no one will be seeing those until I get to my target shape.

The funny thing about the Brazilian Butt lift, is it tells you to do the pencil test.  The pencil test is a test (obviously) where you take a pencil and stick it in the underneath of your butt cheek where it meets your thigh.  The purpose of this is to tell you if your butt is lifted or not, if it sticks your butt is droopy if it falls your butt is lifted, needless to say mine stuck....it made me cry a little bit.

I'm hoping a mix of all these things will whip my butt back into shape (both literally and figuratively)
once I start making progress I'll use this blog to mark my progress along with everything else.

So I think I'll start my baking again soon and post a couple recipes, and I'm planning on posting the DIY's I do around the house, I'm on a hold right now until February but oh the things I'm planning on doing to make my house look good for cheap :) and of course I'm going to need to show it off.  I admit I am awesome and doing things for cheap cheap when I want things done.

Oh and did I mention my hubby is awesome and does the dishes too?
I am one lucky chick :)

So I've lost my camera somewhere in my house which is why I haven't posted anything in a couple days.
I'm hoping it will turn up soon, I have a feeling it's either in my couch or one of the munchkins got to it. or it could very well be in my purse where I haven't checked yet.

We haven't done anything too exciting over the past couple days, I've been letting Steve do some much needed recording, once he finishes one of the songs I will post it for you guys to listen to.

I have started going to the gym to try to help my goal of losing 20 lbs and so far I love it, it turns out I'm not in as bad shape as I thought.  So I'm hoping I can start the P90x by the end of this week.

But because I cannot have a post without pictures here are a couple from Christmas day.

Looking Back

Since Steve's been on vacation for the first time in 15 years (without anything to do), we've had time to just sit, do nothing, and take a look at everything we have accomplished.
5 years ago if someone were to tell me I'd be married with 4 kids living in a nice house with a nice vehicle and being happy beyond my wildest dreams, I would've told them they were nuts!
But here we are 5 years later, married with 4 kids, hubby's in school for something he's going to be great at, me finally figuring out what I want to do in school, we live in a nice house (huge improvement from the rat/mice infested leaky apartment we lived at before), with a nice reliable vehicle (I'm still not used to the feeling of a good vehicle that doesn't shake, turn off randomly, over heat, ect.)
We've bought everything we've wanted and we have no debt it's a nice change from where we started, and it's nice to just sit back and enjoy where we are in time.
you know before we start on the path again to make things even better, we're rockstars inside we need to have big dreams like living in our own version of graceland having jobs that we love, and the kids being happy and growing up to be great caring responsible human beings.
It's exciting looking ahead at what we can accomplish and I can't wait.

This year hasn't been as exciting as the year we got married, gave birth to our daughter, moved into a house, got the van, went to see KISS in Oshawa, got one of the hubby's dream basses and all that.
But we've done some major changes, Steve applied to college got accepted and quit his job to make a better living for us, we went from not having two pennies to rub together to being comfy, getting the good reliable vehicle, having our fourth child (third son) going to see Butch Walker, me figuring out what to apply for in College, My eldest started school, and a bunch more that it's hard to remember at midnight.
Steve got on the presidents list for his marks in college, which takes a huge chunk off the student loan.
And the only thing I have to complain about him is that he puts dishes on top of the cupboard where I can't get them.

So I forgot to take pictures today because I spent all day putting the tree and decorations away and cleaning
so here's a round-up of my favourite memories of 2011.
The random family day in January where the boys covered themselves in stickers, we made cookies and decorated them, and played in the snow. Kylie was terrified of the snow, hopefully she won't be this year when the snow finally decides to make it's appearance.

Finding out we were expecting #4 at the end of January.

another random day where I was able to get a picture of all 3 of them playing together and not fighting :)

Christian's 4th birthday, my writing sucks, but I think Buzz turned out pretty sweet

the times when all the kids start piling up on daddy.

the Diego Jeep we found for $20 on Kijiji that has brought endless amount of fun and the times the boys decided to run it into our vehicles.  and oh the memories the Montana brings, I think it's quicker to point out the spots on HWY 58 where the van didn't break down.
we didn't have the sunfire for long, but it I still consider it my first vehicle, and she did the job she was supposed to do.  surprisingly.

My friend Michelle coming down and taking pictures of my family, she is one of the most amazing people you can ever meet and have as a friend, she see's the positive in absolutely everything.  I am extremely lucky to have her in my life and I wouldn't trade her for the world.  I miss living close to her (one of the disadvantages of moving to the Niagara Region)

The first picture of all 4 of the munchkins,

The black rose the hubby brought me for our 2 year wedding anniversary

and the final steps of the back yard reno I forgot to post

it's nice to not fall into holes anymore :)

39 weeks pregnant, the longest pregnancy ever, sucked being put on bed rest at 29 weeks.

my labour with Gavin is up there in my favourite memories, it's one of those labours that fixes and heals all the wounds from the traumatizing birth I had, and the births that didn't go as planned, his birth was just prefect, calming, healing, relaxing, and on my terms.
I could go on, but I'm sure you don't want 4 birth stories on what's already going to be a long post.  I'll take the time eventually to write them all down to share, but right now there's still some memories I would rather forget.

Going to see Butch Walker in Toronto.  He is amazing! just amazing, they are amazing on their album and even more so live! He's one of the rare pure talent out there that boggles my mind why he isn't being played on the radio ect and people like Katey Perry (did I spell her name right)  who sounds horrible live is all over the place.

Christian's first day of school :) my lil man is growing up too fast, he loves school! he just absolutely loves it, he has a great teacher, EA's and his therapist team who are just amazing!

Presley turned 3 and we did something different, we decided instead of a party he would chose what to do all day.  cereal and mac and cheese where his choices.

I love this picture of 3 out of 4 of my boys :)  ignore the mess in the background, this was taken when Gavin was 2 days old and I had no interest in cleaning anything at all.

my birthday gift from my sister.  I love love love love love Orchids.  did I say love enough?
it sucks that since they were cut they didn't last that long but they were beautiful when they did.

and one of my gifts from the hubby! I told him to get me an orchid plant for our anniversary but he got me the rose instead, so for my birthday he got me this and my new laptop :)

oh and another picture of Christian's first day of school while we were waiting for the bus :)

So there you go, some of my favourite parts of 2011.  and here's hoping 2012 will bring more progress and happiness to everyone

Merry Christmas!

ahhh Christmas, one of the longest days of the year. With lots of visiting friends and relatives, lots of commotion and lots of love and food. Getting kids to go to sleep on Christmas eve is a chore and a half, but finally they fell asleep at1am.  Then big mean mommy woke them up at 7:30 this morning to show them that Santa came and left them presents for being good and helpful this year.
I was surprised they wanted their cereal first and made sure to eat every last bite!
I must be doing something right with the kids, they came into the living room and sat on the couch and waited for mommy and daddy to bring them the presents they could open, I though for sure they would run to the tree and start ripping open every present they could.

Opening presents didn't take as long this year as it did last year.  They opened all their presents fairly quickly so they had more time to play with them.

The ghost buster car was one of the top gifts (thankfully, that one was hard to find)

The wrestling ring and wrestlers are the winning gifts for Christian

and the best gift of them all!

The ghost buster house!!

and the opening and putting together takes place ( I swore that took me hours to open everything and put toys together for the kids)
After all of that we had to get ready to go over to my family's Christmas dinner.  Getting four kids and a husband ready to go anywhere on a regular day is a chore, let alone Christmas day and tearing kids away from their toys, next year everyone can come to us, that was the most horrible thing I had to do as a mother so far, I felt soo bad.

But once we got there all was forgotten.

Christian was chasing the cats that are scared of kids

and the best baby facial expression ever! I'm so happy I captured a picture of this!

I asked him for a smile and I got one, and only a smile :)

my boys <3

and my girly and I

I love Christmas and how happy and thankful my kids are.
I'm pretty lucky to spend every holiday with an amazing husband and some pretty amazing kids.

I hope all of you had a great Christmas too and took the time to help others and  remember to love <3
