finally settled in

I think I can finally say we are finally settled in.  we have all the boxes unpacked and just have the last tweeking to do and put up pictures.
I love the new place, it is sooo nice to have the whole family on the same floor instead of 3 different floors. 
The kids seem to really like it here too, they keep saying they don't want to go back to the old cold house.

I can't wait until Spring to put up their swing set :)


This is the first time in a really long time I can say I don't have that much stress, it is amazing, I haven't felt this happy in years.
We have a place that is ours, that we can call home, that we're not being constantly criticized in and be constantly reminded how it's not our home.

And the best part is Christian can use his walker in the house :) we just need to pick up some chair cover things to go over the anti tippers so they don't scratch up the floor and he can go to town :)


He did amazing at the mall the other day with his walker he only took a couple breaks. I so can't wait until he's mastered it and can go forever with it!


It's been pretty relaxing in the new place and the kids seem a lot happier now...it probably has something to do with Steve and I being more happy...it's contagious, kind of like how misery is contagious if you let it.

And I've decided to get my own photography business off the ground, I just need to build up a portfolio and I will be good to go :)  common nice weather! no one wants to go out in the snow! But until then my children have been the subject of many flashes and camera's in their face.   Their pretty great models....and photogenic... I wish I was.

And the best part is the night once the kids go to bed, the wine comes out and I beat Steve in video games :)

New Camera

I'm a happy happy girl today, I still haven't been able to find my little point and shoot camera but I did get a new SLR camera :)
Now just to figure out how to really use it to take some amazing pictures.  My kids are going to hate me.  Any one want to help me by being subjects? hahaha I gave up trying to spell gueane(sp?) pigs and 'I still can't get it right!

I love this camera and so far the kids have been more than co-operative. My husband on the other hand hasn't, So I need to sneak some.  

I know I should be unpacking instead of taking pictures all day but I can't help it, it's a new awesome toy for me to learn, and putting away clothes is boring and just sucks.

I love how I have very photogenic children...they must have gotten that from my husband, because it sure isn't me, I can't take a good picture of myself to save my life hahaha!

The kids seem to be adjusting pretty well to the new house, they seem to really like it and don't want to go to the old house "because it's old and they don't like old"

and now I guess I should be nice and let the hubby use my laptop because his can't get any internet on it.  and I sort of feel like being nice today :)

In true me style I have packed my camera and all the parts to it in separate boxes and I have no idea where those boxes are.

Moving is such a pleasant experience!

It has been a busy couple of weeks! Christian was casted for new braces which he gets fitted for on Thursday.  I booked and took my English test for college on Tuesday/Wednesday and without studying and in the middle of packing I managed to get a 97%.

oh and we looked at a new place and moved into it within a week because apparently that's how I do things.
I'm looking forward to getting all the boxes unpacked and everything organized.  This new place has enough room for Christian to use his walker in the house from one room to another :) I'm really looking forward to that.


The boys are excited because they now have bunk beds!

I guess I should go back to unpacking so I can find my camera so I can post the pictures I took before I put it away!

begining of a new year

So far it's been a great year for 2012! well except for the fact that Presley and Gavin have decided that they don't need naps, which is fine for a 3 year old but is he ever grumpy and tired looking, but he just refuses to sleep.  And well Gavin's going through yet another growth spurt so he's decided he'd rather be attached to me all day eating rather than sleeping, it would be nice if he slept through the night, but I guess from 1am to 5am I can't complain, at least I can get some form of sleep.  and he's really cute so I don't mind

The kids have been obsessed with books lately which is good, and Presley so far hasn't ate any...which is a first. usually he's all over books trying to eat them....I swear it's Steve's genetics hahahaha.
I love hearing the stories they tell just by looking at the pictures their pretty awesome, my kids have an amazing imagination.

and Christian is my nut bar :)  he's the class clown and always doing things to make other people laugh, 

at least at school he still listens and doesn't interrupt the class...just yet, he'll probably be doing that within the next couple years

we made a turkey for new years because we forgot to defrost it in time for Christmas and it's the first time we weren't really paying attention to how ti was cooking,  this was Steve's attempt at taking it out of the roasting pan, it was so moist the turkey fell apart and the bones just slide right through the meat.  One of the best turkey's I have ever eaten (the other one was cooked by Steve too) he's a pro at turkey cooking.

and I can never paint my nails without 3 little ones at my feet asking for their nails done too.  Now their getting advanced, they ask me to do designs now.  those are my attempts at making Christian a bumble bee. the week before was a race car....Thank goodness he's on winter break, I'll have to make sure it's off before he returns to school on Monday

and my Princess refuses to let me put her hair in pony tails anymore...above was my attempt at doing pig tails, the second I had them in she was screaming at me and taking them out.  With 3 brothers shes going to grow up to be a tomboy and she's already showing it.  I swear she's going to be one of those girls in nice shoes and a dress because she loves pretty clothes, but playing in a puddle of mud.  It's going to be awesome.

For Christmas the kids got packages of playdoh from Santa and i figured why not let them play with it, I finally have a table cloth to protect the table.  It turns out adults have more fun playing with it than the kids, and the kids love watching what mommy and daddy are making.
